This Refund Policy outlines when you can return purchased items, how to do so, and the conditions that apply. By making a purchase from PiratcesWCap, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.

Eligibility for Refunds

You may be eligible for a refund under the following circumstances:

Print Purchases

  • The print arrives damaged or defective
  • The print received is significantly different from what was displayed on the website (e.g., color variations beyond what would be considered normal for print reproduction)
  • You received an incorrect item (different from what you ordered)
  • The print was not delivered within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, and you no longer wish to receive it

Digital Purchases

  • The digital file is corrupted or cannot be opened
  • The resolution or quality of the digital file is significantly lower than what was advertised
  • You received an incorrect digital file (different from what you ordered)

Please note that for digital purchases, once you have successfully downloaded the file in proper working condition, we cannot offer refunds due to the nature of digital products.

Conditions for Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:

  • The return request must be made within 30 days of receiving the item
  • For print products, the item must be in its original condition (unused, unmarked, and unframed)
  • The item must be returned in its original packaging, when possible
  • You must provide proof of purchase (order number or email confirmation)
  • For damaged items, you must provide clear photographs of the damage

Items Not Eligible for Return

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Custom-sized or custom-framed prints
  • Digital files that have been successfully downloaded and are not defective
  • Items that have been framed, mounted, or otherwise altered after receipt
  • Items damaged due to improper handling after delivery
  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refund Process

How to Request a Refund

If you wish to request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our Customer Service team at returns@piratceswcap.com or call +44 600 004 1532 within 30 days of receiving your order
  2. Include your order number, the reason for your return, and photographs of any damage (if applicable)
  3. Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days with further instructions
  4. If your return is approved, you will receive instructions on how to return the item
  5. Once we receive the returned item and verify its condition, we will process your refund

Return Shipping

For returns due to our error (wrong item shipped, defective product, or damaged in transit), we will provide a prepaid return shipping label. For returns due to a change of mind or other reasons not related to our error, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service when returning items, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit during the return process.

Refund Processing Time

Once we receive your returned item and approve the refund, we will process it as follows:

  • Credit/Debit Card Payments: Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment within 5-7 business days. Depending on your card issuer, it may take an additional 2-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
  • PayPal Payments: Refunds will be processed to your PayPal account within 1-2 business days.
  • Bank Transfers: Refunds via bank transfer typically take 5-7 business days to process.

You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed.

Refund Options

When a refund is approved, you may choose from the following options:

  • Full Refund: We will refund the full purchase price of the item to your original payment method
  • Store Credit: We can issue store credit for 110% of the purchase price, which you can use for future purchases
  • Exchange: We can exchange the item for the same product or another product of equal value

Partial Refunds

In some cases, we may offer a partial refund:

  • If only part of an order is being returned
  • If an item is returned outside of the 30-day window but within 45 days
  • If an item is returned in a condition that shows minor signs of handling or use
  • For digital products where technical support has been provided

The amount of the partial refund will be determined based on the specific circumstances.

Exceptions to Standard Policy

Limited Edition Prints

For limited edition prints, we maintain the same 30-day return period, but due to their exclusive nature, we may require additional verification before processing a refund.

Special Order Items

Items that are custom-made or specially ordered for you (such as custom sizes, special finishes, or framing) are generally not refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Sale Items

Items purchased during special sales or promotions may have modified return policies, which will be clearly indicated at the time of purchase.

International Orders

For international orders, the same refund policy applies, but please be aware that:

  • You are responsible for any customs fees, taxes, or duties incurred during the return shipping process
  • Return shipping for international orders may take longer
  • International shipping costs for returns are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error

Quality Guarantee

Beyond our standard 30-day return period, we offer a 1-year limited quality guarantee on all print products. If your print experiences fading, discoloration, or paper deterioration under normal display conditions within one year of purchase, please contact us for a replacement or refund.

This guarantee does not cover damage from improper handling, exposure to direct sunlight, extreme environmental conditions, or other factors outside of normal display use.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel an order before it has been shipped. To cancel an order, please contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible with your order number and cancellation request.

  • For print orders that have not yet entered production, we can typically process a full cancellation and refund
  • For print orders that have entered production but not shipped, a partial cancellation fee may apply
  • For digital products, orders cannot be canceled once the download link has been provided
